State Fair of Virginia

 

Probably one of the largest events that the FBI Richmond Division is invited to each year is the State Fair of Virginia.  For the past several years, the Richmond FBI has had a presence at the State Fair.  Employees set up an information booth, along with other government service agencies, which allows the community an opportunity to meet the agents and professional support staff and discuss career options, community outreach initiatives, and special investigative programs.  Since Virginia has such a diverse multi-cultural population, and thousands attend the State Fair every year, this proves to be a terrific venue for law enforcement and the community to meet in a manner not intimidating, allowing for mutual respect and dialogue.  Visit the State Fair website for dates and locations of our next visit.
