Adopt-A-School Program
| As part of the FBI’s Adopt-A-School Program, the Richmond Division has partnered with Bellwood Elementary School to host the Junior Special Agent Program. Within this program children are exposed to a positive law enforcement role model who encourages them to succeed in school performance and attendance, boosts their self-esteem, and provides instruction on ways to abstain from crime, drugs, gangs and violence. At the completion of the program, the children receive a badge and credentials; and are afforded an opportunity to return for next years’ program and work as ambassadors to assist in classroom activities.
This partnership developed as a result of contact with Communities in Schools of Richmond.
